The vampires are a highly structured empire of people who follow one leader. Tha majority of vampires are beings descended from a common ancestor who was punished by a spirit in the past to eternally walk the earth. However, generally vampires only manage to live for 200 to 300 years without aging. Vampires are gifted with the powers of the night, usually including stealth, temporary levitation, an ability to manifest thier power as bats, and hightened strength and speed. While usually defined by red eyes, pale skin, an fangs, not every vampire posesses these traits and it is common practice to teach them to hide them at will to prevent being discovered by werewolves. Thier magic and ability exceed that of a werewolf, but they are unable to stand light and are unable to deal with objects that are connected to the spirits.

The vampire empire covers a vast range of knolage and magic as well as several types of variations that arose throughout the years. These include necromancers who tend to be much more human-like, zombies and undead slaves, and vampires who hide thier true form until it takes on a monsterous appearence. Also among the vampires ranks are vampires who have managed to reist thier curse, to an extent. These special "daywalker vampires" are able to channel magic in the form of bats or shadow beings, as well as being able to avoid the standard needs of a vampire while remaining human-like 24/7. But they hold no remarkable physical abilities and can become violent at a moment's notice. However, knowing that there is no way to measure how one uses his abilities, it's impossible to know what forms of vampires might arise.

Like any other being, they are not immortal and can be killed with normal weapons.
